 Hey 🙂

Here is what I received inside my September Glossybox :

2013-09-14 11.47.04

2013-09-14 11.48.16

2013-09-14 11.49.322013-09-14 11.53.42

2013-09-14 11.54.29

I have tried the perfume, the blush and the false eyelashes. I really like the perfume and the blush, Untold  isn’t overpowering or barely there, it’s just the right amount of noticable. I would call it a heavy scent, I don’t know what scent to compare it to but it is not fruity and smells expensive. I think this will be my new perfume for work.

The Rimmel Stay blushed blusher is a great colour for me, it looks like a dark coral when it comes out of the tube but blends to a light barely there pink. I would go for this if you want your blush to look as natural as possible.

The eyelure lashes are great because you just peel them off and press them on, no glue required. For a false eyelash virgin like me though, they are a bit too big and dramatic, not really my style.

I’ve still to try the eyeliner and the Toni&Guy serum but I’ll update this post once I have tried them.

The Minimum Wage Dress

Sometimes when you work you think of prices in terms of hours, for example ‘those shoes will cost me 5 hours pay’. I recommend this style of thinking if you need to look after your pennies because when you think of the hard work you have done to earn your money when you are considering a purchase it really curbs your spending.

Well in most cases it does, but if you happen to shop at Shelikes.com thinking in terms of ‘price vs. hours’ probably won’t put you off your purchase.

That’s because they have just introduced ‘ The Minimum Wage Dress.’

This dress costs just £3.68 ($5.68) (€4.30) (Prices converted on 20th June 2013) In the U.K £3.68 is the minimum wage for under 18s so for minimum earning 16 and 17 year olds this dress costs one hour’s pay. The dress is supplied to shelikes.com by Figa Store.

It comes in 4 colours as shown below:

The dress is described by www.shelikes.com as :

The Minimum Wage Dress – Only £3.68! A dress worth keeping! This spectacular cut out dress is the perfect choice for all your summer occasions. Featuring a cut out design & knot detail. Versatile & easy to wear, team with colour popping heels for the evening, or wear with hi top trainers & a customary denim jacket for the day.

Approx Length – 28.5″ (72.5cm)

95% Polyester 5% Elastane

Machine Washable

So what are you’re thoughts on all this? Do you think it is a wonderful idea? Do you wonder about the profit made on this dress? Would you like to know how the company can sell it so cheap? Do you think more companies should be selling items like this? What do you think about the dress itself? Do you like the style? The colours? Should they broaden the range of Minimum Wage Dresses available?

Also what are your thoughts on different age groups having different minimum wages? Personally I think it is very unfair, if you do a job I think you should be paid as much as the other people who do the same job, age should not be a factor. Do you agree/disagree? I would love to get your comments about this.

Thanks for checking out my blog, if you liked this post then please hit the ‘like’ button. If you would like to share your thoughts then please comment, I love reading what you have to say 🙂

…to stick to your guns. You said ‘no’ to trying radio-active looking food but they insist, tough! no means no.

…to secretly turn the shopping trolley into a scooter when no one is looking.

…to return an item simply because you changed your mind about it.No it wasn’t too small, you don’t want it in another colour, you just want your money back.

…to see your friends having babies and think that you need at least another 5 years before even contemplating it.

…to not want babies. The human race will continue without your contribution.

…to re-gift. You don’t like it, why can’t you give it to someone who does?

…to go to work looking like a supermodel on Monday but come Thursday you look like Shrek, you’ve had a busy week, it was either stay late to get that report finished or get your beauty sleep.

…to put the beauty sleep before the report. Shrek is not a good look on you.

…to buy a lottery ticket and immediately start planning how you are going to spend your winnings.

…to actually be surprised and disappointed when you don’t win the lottery. After all, your horoscope did say that you would come into some money today.

…to not be a technophile. No you don’t want the latest new mobile phone because it can make calls to the moon. Your current mobile suits you just fine.

…to like this blog on Facebook, go on you know you want too 😉

Inspired by Glamour Magazine’s ‘Hey, it’s OK’ page but all work is my own.
